I confess my buying habits can be a little weird at times, but I don't think that alone accounts for the many strange advertisements I receive every week on Facebook and Instagram. a few years ago I got an ad for a box of fake teeth from Amazon. Not full sets of teeth, a box of 50 fake molars! It was really bizarre.
The last few weeks have really brought on some interesting items. I don't know if it's because we are all stuck in home under quarantine, but the ads seem stranger than usual lately.
For example:
A Cat Stroller
Okay, this one kind of makes sense - I do have a cat and I do post pictures of my cat. It's kind of a good idea, but $40 for a cat stroller? I don''t think I paid that much for my own kid's stroller.
Statue
Um. Isn't that a Satanic statue? It's also 3 feet tall and $400!
Swimsuit
I mean, despite the obvious - I could not pull this off - there is also the problem with the metal chains. Have you ever had a swimsuit with any metal on it? It gets hot in the sun. And imagine the suntan lines!
???????????
Honestly, I'm not even sure what this is. Is it supposed to be panties or is it supposed to go over your Depends adult diapers to keep leaks away?
Inflatable Hot Tub
Of all the crazy ads I received, this one is kind of cool. A few weeks ago when we had a cold front come through I actually thought this would be awesome to have.
Male Wraps
First off - I don't have a dog. Second - what are these? Are they like jock straps for dogs? I'm so confused.
So, there you go. Weird things that Facebook and Instagram think that I would be interested in.
